How should we understand the Old Testament? Is it simply a historical record, or merely meant to provide moral lessons? While it certainly includes both, the OT’s ultimate purpose is to point us to a greater fulfillment in and through God’s chosen King & Messiah, Jesus Christ. In this class, we will learn to identify these patterns and pointers to see how they find their fulfillment in Christ.

Being Protestant shapes not only what we believe about the gospel, but it also affects how we gather, worship, and pray. This equipping class will focus on understanding these distinctives which emerged from the Reformation so we can be biblically grounded. We will also examine Catholic teachings on these topics and compare with the Bible to foster productive conversations with Catholics. 

Everyone who reads the Bible brings their own interpretation, but these interpretations can differ and even contradict each other. This class will help you learn the methods needed to rightly divide the Word of God. You will be better equipped to read, understand, and apply the Bible correctly.

Do you desire to navigate the beauties and complexities of the Psalms? This equipping class will focus on the structure and the grammar of the Psalms, and also outline key features to pay attention to while reading them. There will also be excersices to work through different Psalm types. 

A worldview is the way a person perceives the world and the universe. Needless to say, everyone has a worldview, and it shapes their lives. In this equipping class we will consider the major worldviews, and how to interact with them from a Christian worldview.

What do the Five Solas mean and how are they relevant to us today? We will be diving into these biblical truths as we grasp the essence of the gospel and get better equipped for Evangelism.

God has interacted with humans through covenants since creation. In this equipping class, we will look at the different covenants in the Bible, how they find their fulfillment in Jesus, and our place in God’s story line.

Many of the Christian truths we take for granted today were contended for intensely by the early church. They did this in the face of several heresies and eventually, codified the beliefs of Christianity in Creeds. This series will look at some key heresies in order to understand how the Creeds serve as guardrails for us.

The Holy Spirit is either neglected or given disproportionate attention in churches. It is important to have the right understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and what has been revealed about Him. In this short 4 part series, we will look at the identity of the Holy Spirit, His works, and our relationship to Him.
