What We Believe...
We adhere to the early Christian Creeds (the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Creed of Chalcedon) and affirm the consensus of the historic Reformed confessions (Three Forms of Unity, London Baptist Confession of 1689, the Philadelphia Confession of 1742, and the New Hampshire Baptist Confession of 1833).
Doctrines
The Scriptures
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments is the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God; it is divine revelation that carries the full weight of God's authority. It is the only sufficient rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience.
God
There is but one God, the Maker, Preserver, and Ruler of all things; having in and of Himself all perfections and being infinite in them all; and to Him, all creatures owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. God is fully omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, not given to learning or "openness."
The Trinity
Within the Godhead there is a unity of three distinct yet fully divine persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; these three are one true, eternal God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
Jesus
Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, having two natures inseparably united in one divine person without confusion, mixture, separation, or division. Each nature retains its own attributes. In the incarnation, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a perfect life among us, was crucified, dead, and buried, rose on the third day bodily, ascended to heaven, and will come again in glory and judgment. He is the only Mediator between God and man; the Prophet, Priest, and King of the church; and Sovereign of the universe.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is of one substance with the Father and the Son. He eternally proceeds from the Father and the Son. He makes alive those who are dead in trespasses and sins, monergistically effecting their regeneration, producing repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for justification and eternal life. He dwells in the hearts of believers, operating in their sanctification synergistically.
Creation & Providence
God, by the word of His power, created from nothing the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. He further preserves and governs all His creatures and all their actions according to His most holy, wise, and powerful providence.
Man
God originally created man in His own image and without sin; but through the temptation of Satan, man transgressed God’s command and fell from his original holiness and righteousness. As a result, his descendants inherit a nature corrupt and wholly opposed to God and His law; they are under condemnation, and, when morally able, they become actual transgressors.
Salvation
Because all have sinned, atonement must be made in order for man to be reconciled to God. Jesus Christ made a complete atonement for His people through His substitutionary atoning death on the cross. He imputes His righteousness to all believers securing us full redemption for all who repent of their sin and trust in Him alone for salvation.
Church
Christ has established a visible church, which is called to live in the power of the Holy Spirit under the regulation of the authority of Holy Scripture, preaching the gospel of Christ, administering the sacraments, and exercising discipline. According to His commandment, Christians are to associate themselves into particular churches; and to each of these churches, He has given needful authority for administering the order, discipline, and worship which He has appointed.
The Last Days
God has appointed a day on which He will judge the world by Jesus Christ when everyone shall receive according to his deeds: the wicked shall go into everlasting punishment, and the righteous shall go into everlasting life.
