Jai was born in Bangalore, India, and he also grew up there. He completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering in India and came to the US to pursue a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he started working in the medical device industry. He also has a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. More recently, he obtained a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

He currently serves as a lay pastor at Grace Harbor Church in Providence, RI.

Chap grew up in Alabama, but after attending Brown University, felt called to plant a church in New England. After planting and pastoring that church for 25 years, he felt God’s clear call to establish The Apollos Project, a ministry which equips parents to disciple their children. He is the author of The Disciple-Making Parent: Raising Your Children to Love and Follow Jesus Christ, other materials on family, evangelism and apologetics, as well as blog articles for The Gospel Coalition. He previously served as a pastor at Grace Harbor Church in Providence, RI. He and his wife Sharon have four grown children: Kara, Chapman, Rebekah, and Nate. Chap and Sharon live in Exeter, RI. In his free time, Chap likes to ski, bicycle, read, and try new Providence restaurants.

Beena was born in Bangalore, India, in a catholic family. She has been in the nursing profession since 1998. She became a born-again Christian as an undergraduate while she was attending a catholic retreat. You can watch her testimony here.
She met Jai at the youth prayer group in the catholic church that both attended. They were married in 2003 and they moved to the US in 2004. After graduating from her Masters in Nursing, she started working as a Nurse Practitioner in addition to being an RN. She has served her local church in various ways including children’s ministry, ushering, youth ministry and hospitality ministry. She loves her yellow lab, Pepsi, very dearly and spoils him as much as possible. She enjoys reading, watching movies and food blogging shows.
