Christian Apologetics deals with the defense of the Christian faith. We are commanded in Scripture to give a reason for the hope within us. Apologetics includes presenting arguments to show the truthfulness of Christianity and dismantling the arguments presented against it. Apologetics also involves examining the truth claims made by other belief systems with the same level of scrutiny and honesty used to defend Christianity. However, this needs to be done with gentleness and respect for the individual knowing that each of us is made in the image of God.

The goal of apologetics is not to win the intellectual argument but to exalt Jesus Christ above everything else so that every knee will bow and confess Him as Lord.
